Kaukenhof "reloaded" 2014

Hello dear friends, we are back again with some lovely pictures from Kaukenhof park. For those who are reading this blog for the first time, we would warmly recommend our very first post: The Tulip Paradise.

Here you will find our first impression about this paradise corner and how the most beautiful spring garden in the world covered by tulips, daffodils and hyacinths can bring you so much joy and happiness.

Since 2012 there were not too much changes, the entrance costs is still 15 euro / person, the parking fee is 6 euro but the memories which you'll take with, are without any doubts - priceless.

For those who are interested in discovering the bulb fields there is a possibility to take a boattrip around Kaukenhof park. The trip last not more than 45 minutes and you are guaranteed to have the most nice and original pictures.
We did not manage to take a boattrip in the whishper boats but we discovered indeed the bulb fileds - can be reached by car or even explored by bicycle. Bicycles can be easily hired at the parks main entrance.

For more pictures please refer to our virtual gallery.

The theme of this year was a flower bulb mosaic depicting an Amsterdam canal scene with a tulip which was large approx. as a canal house(more details can be observed in the pictures below). The mosaic is planted with almost 60.000 tulips and it symbolizes the tulip mania during Golden Age.
