Keukenhof(The Tulip Paradise)

We are thinking that this post does not require any additional information because the pictures are speaking for themselves.
The Keukenhof  paradise covers almost 32 hectares, so prepare your eyes, camera and storage batteries to discover the unbelievable colored scenes of Europe’s  Garden.

As it’s already written on the park’s website the visiting period is between middle of March until middle of May each year. We visited Keukenhof on 22th of March 2012, but it’s recommended to visit it somewhere in the middle of April. In this time period you have bigger chances to see all tulips bloomed.

The Keukenhof park is situated in the Lisse town, somewhere in the south west from Amsterdam or to be more exactly: 34 km away from Amsterdam. If you are in Amsterdam on the dates we mentioned above, you should definetelly visit at any costs the amazing tulips park.

Near to Keukenkof, you’ll find enough park places at a quite reasonable prices, at that time we paid around 5 euros/day. Once you’ve entered the park you’ll forget where you are, because the stupendous flower diversity and their number will overwhelm you.

If you are travelling from Amsterdam to Lisse by car, you’ll find Schiphol Amsterdam Airport very spectacular. It’s about the airplane track which passes above the highway.

The park itself is quite big but with the intuitive map that you will receive at the entrance, there no chance to miss something. The park has two entrances, five pavilions(Oranje Nassau, Wilhelmina, Juliana, Beatrix and Willem-Alexander), one mill and a bulb shop. Each pavilion has it's own design and type of flowers.
Every year the theme of the park is changing, so please don't wonder if the pictures above may not correspond with the pictures that were taken this year(2013) or pictures that will be taken in 2014.

Short description of the Keukenhof pavilions:

In Oranje Nassau Pavilion you can enjoy flower show, flower mosaic and the walk of fame.

In Beattrix and Willem-Alexander pavilion you can enjoy another kind of flower show.

In Juliana Pavilion you can find all the information you need about the bulb you are interested in and afterwards you can enjoy a free guide which is held at a specific hour.

Near to the Mill you can find a Japanese garden, wishper boats and a picnic area or the spring meadow. In this location, at that time, we had the possibility to enjoy a traditional fanfare show.
Know we a letting you to enjoy the tulips paradise.
